I only joined this tribe recently but I'm happy I did. I hope it doesn't sound pathetic but every time I clean now, I think of you. Not the everyday cleaning but things like cleaning the dustpan, deep cleaning of the stove top and microwave, and cleaning the dish rack. My place is never as clean as I'd like it to be and I think only you guys would think it's dirty like I do. Other people comment on how clean it is.
How many of you grew up in a chaotic messy household? I attribute that as one of the reasons I am how I am.

I cleaned my microwave this weekend, swept and vacuumed, did about 7 loads of laundry, and I feel great! If something like cleaning makes you feel this good, how can it be bad? Yay, neat and clean! -

Yeah, I whipe down my vacuum cleaner after using it...and while I am in the middle of doing that, I think that other people must think I am insane! LOL This tribe reminds me that if I am insane, I am in pretty good company. :-)
I grew up in very messy house. My parents were very disorganized and it drove me nuts. I remember going around the living room pickup up the scissors and the newspaper and stuff and wondering why on earth the house was always so cluttered. To this DAY, I cannot stand clutter! -

Tue, May 30, 2006 - 6:46 AMInteresting - I grew up in a fanatically clean home - it was my dad's fault - he even made my mom clean out the air conditioning ducts once a month... when I moved out on my own, I would spend a week preparing for his visit.... dusting the door frames, cleaning the little ridge under the drain stopper - I stopped doing all that when he came through and told me I needed to clean the inside of my dishwasher.... never have, and never will.... so, the obsession is gone a little, but it is still clean... -
